Should Marijuana be Legalized?

Many scientists have proven that it does less to your body than other drugs and alcohol. some states have already made laws that make being caught in the possession of small amounts of Marijuana legal. Massachusetts, one of these countries, just made a law stating that if you are caught holding less than an ounce of Marijuana, you can not be arrested, but there is still a $200 fine to pay. 

But other state are doing the complete opposite of states like Massachusetts. some states are banning marijuana in even hospitals, where it is commonly used as a pain killer. 

So the debate is pretty rounded with people who want it to be legal, and those who do not. the question is, if it is legalized, how much of it can you have, and do you need a reason? In hospitals they use less than an ounce of marijuana as a sedative. But does that mean that you can only have less than an ounce, or will it be more. And for the question of a reason, do you need to have a permit to own it, or can you just have it? these are only a few problems that the Government will need to work out before they make their decision.
