Raygada is the southern city of this eastern state. One minor was stripped of her possession forcefully and was almost killed by persons and in hearing this incident the entire town was in grief and rage between all is citizens. People from each community came to road to show their strong will against this horrible uncivilized incident. Kapilash road was shut down completely for two hours. After being stripped of her possession forcefully, the minor girl tried to end her life in shame. She is in critical condition and for this she was shifted to Vishakhapatnam. Police arrested three people who had done this ruin to this minor girl. On Sunday night police arrested accused Mallick and Muna and on Monday, police arrested the third accused Bharat. Police is interrogating them and investigating the matter further and in a significant move from lawyer community no one would be advocating the three accused in the court of law.
This horrendous incident occurred in Raygada town on last Wednesday at eight 30 PM. After this news spread through written and electronic medium, people from all walks of life came united and oppose this incident with strong words. They wanted that the sufferer minor must get justice and also they voiced their concern against the rising mafia raj in and around the town. They also prayed heavily for the suffering girl and for this they offered prayer to temples. Leaders from opposing had been stopping the vehicles since nine AM near national highway. They were holding pla-cards and banners in favor of justice for suffering minor girl. The opposition leaders are demanding ten lacs compensation for victim. Minor was orphan and she was staying with her grand mother, and her grand mother in hearing this incident was crying non stop. The opposition leaders say that the patrolling around the town is not sufficient. They demanded that there should be police reform, and they demanded that police should be deployed in places where there are many peoples and also they should be there where there are lesser people.
Deputy collector, SD PO and officer in charge, visited the horrible incident spot. They gave the assurances that the suffering girl should be given proper and good medical treatment and after these assurances, the blockage of road removed. Students from Raygada autonomous college also joined in this agitation; they went to main road besides petrol pump and shouted slogans against police. They demanded that all the three criminals who had done this horrendous activity should be punished heavily. Students from women’s college also shouted slogans and they demanded that three criminals must be punished heavily. Then, they went through the main road of the town to reach Kapilash square. It is true that security of women is paramount. They demanded in front of deputy collector and SP DO that three criminals must be punished heavily. Then, they went to district collector’s office and demanded justice for the suffering minor. On Monday, the lawyers boycott work on Monday. First they went to hospital and there they asked for her health and progression of her condition. Then, they went to district collector’s office and they discussed the matter with him.
Raygada is a growing town and with it, the crime rate has been on the rise. They said that the miscreants jumped from police custody. That is the main reason that a peaceful town is now slowly converting into a criminal town. For the treatment of suffering minor, some local political leaders, NGOs showed their willingness to treat her. The deputy collector said administration is taking every possible step so that the suffering girl should recover. He said about compensation amount, he should be alerting higher authorities about this. SP DO said the accused should first undergo medical treatment and then, they should be taken to court.
