The article continues Swedish beer item, presenting historical background of last century of that beer type.

The period of 1900-1950 has seen the rapid growth of temperance movement against the abuse of alcoholic beverages.

All these protesters protested against beer, too, thus protesting for total alcohol prohibition.

All these protests led to a referendum of 1922, banning alcoholic drinks to 2,25%.

There was another campaign, resulting the appareance of a small majority against alcoholic prohibition.(51% to 49%).

In 1919, Swedish Beer types were classed as follows:

-Class I.max.2,25% ABV(Alcohol by volume)

-Class II.max 3,6%ABV(Pilsnerdricka)

-Class III. above 3,6% ABV
