Teenager Gets Arrested for Showing Up at 40 Crime Scenes Disguised as a Detective (Video Inside)
Sometimes the elevator doesn’t reach the top floor- Geez!

Having goals of a certain profession is always a positive thing for teenagers, but showing up dressed as the profession of your affection is the farthest thing from the average person’s mind.
For 19-year old Ryan Mann, average and logical thinking was thrown out the window after he was arrested for masquerading as a police detective.
When Albany police were called to a crime scene to arrest a heavily armed suspect, Ryan Mann was on the scene dressed as a detective- button-up shirt, khaki pants and a bullet-proof vest. Ryan had the part down as he even had his own police badge and radio.
Ryan was acting the part perfectly until until he was recognized by an Albany police officer from prior crime scenes. Albany Police Spokesman James Miller released a statement saying, ”Basically he was going around telling people he was Detective Ruff, which we don’t have anyone by that last name. He had an application on his iPhone in which he listened to our scanners, our calls going out, many times responded before or after the fact.”

Mann wasn’t a threat to any crime scene or the officers stated Miller, but upon interviewing him, he saw him as someone in need of a mental health evaluation.”You’d be concerned if he was targeting females or trying to get into someone’s apartment to steal items. He just wanted to be a cop and wanted to portray one. Might have thought he was one, and it probably put him in more danger than anyone else,” said Miller.
Mann had acquired his police radio from the Albany Medical Center. For now police are only charging him with possession of stolen property, but he may be charged with impersonating a police officer as well.
