Sure, a few cities has police chief  that doesn’t get appointed, by their mayor. But, a majority of them are appointed , by the operator, of many cities in our fair states. And, many police chiefs are selected, from the officers rank to head their city police force.

What many police chiefs fail to realize is you’re required to operate in regulating your fellow officers in accordance, of rules and policies? You can’t be afraid, of criticism , from the Fraternal Order, of police because you must make a fair assessment about a rogue officer. Or, give reprimands because officers goes outside, of the law.

We constantly see chiefs addressing issues about officers making human error mistakes. And, instead of saying the mistakes can happen in a highly sensitive job they most likely tries to sell us with the well know excuse that the “officer felt threaten for his life”. And, just wearing the uniform place your life in jeopardy with the many fools in society. Who beginning to judge the police department harder than the criminal forces operating around the cities, in the United States?

Who’s surprise that the LAPD or NYPD has trouble makers, on the force? Probably, the mayor? I doubt they fooled , but they understand like the chief it’s better to defend the good officers against the fools with in the department. Who wear the uniform daily to create havoc that most police chief have to respond to sooner or later?

Still, all chief of police are administrators of the mayor’s office and no longer answer to the FOP like, when they was rank and file.
