The Side of Immigration
The more liberal view of the immigration argument.
As the new world is becoming created, America needs to set its option on immigration. It is clear that the United States is a country that is based on cultural diversity and the ideas that they bring. What do we need to do to maintain this cultural enrichment to our country? We simply allow immigrants into the United States. Therefore, Option 5 has been developed “The Land of Opportunity.”
To begin, this Option 5 is heavily influenced by Option 1 and is greatly rivaled by Option 4. In relation, the option is also on good terms with Option 3, but does not disagree with Option 2. Option 5 is meant to allow immigrants into the United States with no limit. However, keeping the illegal immigrants out is a policy that we should pursue. Although, the option would welcome immigrants to the United States, including help if needed. With this option, immigrants will have more opportunity and a chance for better lives. To sum the option up, it is basically Option 1 with some slight modifications.
In this new option, illegal immigrants are prohibited to enter the nation. So, after this option is set in place, everywhere is required to check and re-check their occupants or employees for documents stating that they are citizens of the United States. However, if the checks happen to find illegal immigrants, the United States will help them in obtaining documents so that the immigrants can live peacefully and legally. In return, the immigrants must be employed and help the community, whether it be a job or doing community service, they can’t just get a free ride from America.
On the other hand, there are people who still want to immigrate into the U.S. illegally, so we’ll have to maintain the border control, not allowing them into the nation. However, if the immigrants are so willing to be a part of the United States, then the U.S. will help them in acquiring proper documents to become citizens. Although, the same rules apply as the illegal immigrants that were already in the country, they must occupy a job of some sort or do something for the community. Also, since there is a problem with families being separated, the families can also receive documental aid from the U.S., but then they must comply with the same rules as the illegal immigrants.
Legal immigrants should have the same rights as U.S. citizens. Providing them with opportunity, they can seize the jobs that the nation’s citizens won’t take or strive for even better jobs to live with. With this impressive effort, immigrants show that they are hard workers and are good people to America, improving the nation’s work force. As these hard working immigrants assimilate into the U.S., their efforts into the work force would boost America’s economy.
