Tobacco’s Future

by Bahama227 in Law, June 18, 2009

Tobacco has endured many changes in the past decade.

The war wages on between the tobacco industry and the nation. A new piece of tobacco legislation is on the rise in Washington. If this bill passes, the Food and Drug Administration will be given the power to regulate tobacco ingedients and marketing of all tobacco products and advertising. These tobacco issues are grave concerns for many Americans today. The future of our children is at stake. Their needs have to be considered at all costs. The health care of all Americans and the struggles of dangerous tobacco use need all of our attention. This matter cannot be taken lightly by either the smoking or non-smoking public. Too many deaths each year are attributed to tobacco use. Stronger bans and tobacco warnings are in demand.

The time is now for Washington to take control of this vital issue that faces this country daily. Washington needs to remain tough on these ongoing issues before tobacco companies declare the victory for themselves. There can only be one winner in this battle. Don’t let it be tobacco. The price is too high.

“The future of our children is at stake.”

Thats for sure, and some how I don’t think they will have any personal liberties at all.

    Good bye sweet America
