What Happened in The Verizon Workers Compensation Claims?

Lots of speculation was surrounding Verizone but all in all no fault was found.

Verizon is a self-insured employer that in the past self- administered its Maine workers’ compensation claims; this has since changed and though still self insured its claims are now administered by Sedgewick Claims Managerial Services. They were audited due to two separate complaints that were filed for audit against Verizon. The first involved discontinued benefits when an injured employee was allowed to return to work on light-duty capacity, but was only able to work 2 hours and the second where Verizon stopped paying indemnity payments and did not resume them after notification from the Workers Compensation Board . The result was that no evidence was found that Verizon improperly discontinued any benefits
