Youth Justice

In this ill just give you a short example of what you are running into when your a youth going to court.

what i always seem to run into is youths coming up to me and asking me for help for there case the most common is aggravated robery so i thought since this certain crime is so popular im gonna show how this would probaly work in a family court or youth court

first of all you are classes as a youth court matter if you are from 12-16 any lower and your in family court if you are under this age your in luck slap on the wrist thats it and then your back on with life BUT if you are over this age you are in for one hell of a ride

when you first go into court they will decide weather you go on bail or weather you go into custody until the next court date, bail means that you will have a curfew plus guide line you will have to follow for example no contact with co-offenders, no achole, ect but dont worry most curfew only go until 7:00 at night to 7:00 in the morning so you cant leave te house for 12 hours

the next step is juristiction where they will decide weather you go distric or stay in the youth court, distric court is like a adult court, in some ways it can be better but in other it cant like getting home detention there is no need to take counselling and stuff but you might also get three years in jail so not a good idea, in youth court you can be setence for a maximine of 6 months so follow your curfew or then you’l go distric

the next step doesnt evolve court the next step is a FGC which stands for family group confrence where you will make a plan for your future and share idea’s around about what your punishment should be and how they are going to stop you reaffending thing that might be said is anger management, behavour management ect, in the family group confrence you might be also required to meet the victims and write a apology letter

now the last step this will decide your fate either if the crown (most likely the police) agree’s  with your FGC or what the judge think about your plan and if he thinks its good enough, if he dont think its good he could send you to monitering ativities where you will be taken away from your caregiver and put in a home that will do activities with you to teach you

if you follow your plan you could be dismissed which mean that you will have no record of what just happen in the police records which is good thing
