10 Basic Points to Remember to Ensure a Healthy and Successful Living

Key points for a healthy and successful life.

Let’s not forget the basics. Let’s always remember these basic points to ensure a healthy living and a healthy relationship. Live with the saying “Health is Wealth.”

  1. More deeds, less talk.

Less talk, less mistake. Work hard at something you like the best and you’ll surely feel good about your accomplishment. Don’t ever build yourself up by putting others down. You may attain your goal but it will not last. Be yourself and don’t be a hypocrite.

  2. More sharing, less desire.

Be generous by giving the gift of your time and abilities to others. Look beyond you and celebrate the accomplishments of others.

  3. More sleep, less worries.

Get enough sleep because short nights can result in unproductive days and weaken our immune system.

  4. More walks, less rides.

Take care of your appearance because you’re the only one who can. Get some exercise. If you can’t make it to the gym, walking is the best alternative. So get up of your chair and exercise.

  5. More laughter, less anger.

Live peacefully with others because conflicts rob you energy and motivation. Learn to love others despite of their mistakes. And more importantly, always wear a smile.

  6. More vegetables, less meat.

Your food intake should be like choosing friend, choose the good ones only. Make the right choice no matter how hard it is.

  7. More vinegar, less salt.

We tend to realize the bad effects of taking so much salt only when we’re already sick. Everyday is a new day. We should always learn to start over after committing mistakes.

  8. More fruits, less sweets.

Don’t you ever forget what you’ve learned during the pre-elem days, “an apple a day, keeps the doctor away.” Likewise don’t ever forget this – “Help your dentist, eat lots of chocolate and candies.”

  9. Chew more, eat less.

One of the most effective ways to reduce weight is to reduce food intake. And the best way to do this is by chewing slowly your food, in doing so, you will like you have taken enough.

  10. More water, less soda.

We all know that too much sugar is not healthy. So, cut back the sugar and drink plenty of water.

Once you have followed these basic points, you’re not only assured of a healthy life but also of a happy and successful life.

As I sit and eat my Captain Crunch before driving to school to take a math test, I read this article and think I really need to pay more attention to my choices. The sleep idea is the most important to me. If I can’t get at least 8 hours, I can’t function. Thanks for this Norbert.

probably the best you offered here is the importance of an attitude of forgiveness toward others as it helps keep your balance in life and certainly makes for a happier heart where joy lives abundantly! thanks for a good idea for an article!

Those things listed above are really true, especially the ‘more laughter, less anger’ because it will only bring more problems.

Nobert, if only we can all follow these wonderful, life saving tips, then maybe we could live as long as the people in the Old Testament, that is, of course if you will not get hit by a car or something. But that’s another story…

As for this article, I really love it. I just hope I can practice them all though (Sigh!I’m addicted to soft drinks.)

Thank you once again for giving us such excellent articles.

Thank you Nobert, I always enjoy your articles. What good advice you gave. I am 48 yr old and I run, lift weights and ballroom dance. As a nurse I see old and sick, if I have to grow older I want to be old and healthy. Your best tip was about forgiveness. We should all try and follow that sound advice.
