There are heroes among us. Just take a moment to look around. Sometimes the most virtuous, most spectacular stories are never known by the broader scope of the world. Some of the most moving stories I have ever heard are from the person who is quietly standing behind you in line at the grocery store.

While there are many people living large. Their names are highly visible and they are making huge changes in our world. There are many people who silently provide more goodness to the lives of others that volumes could be written about their lives.

I am usually amazed beyond words by the richness I see in the simple things that make up every day “normal” life.

I am not knocking fame and living out loud. This is merely a commentary to remind us all that heroes and angels surround us everywhere we go. Miracles happen everyday, even if we never hear about them in the news or on screen.

I am also constantly amazed by the people I already know. As I get to know each of them better, my eyes are widened even more so to the unbelievable limitless beauty in the world. I am moved beyond words realizing the incredible power of humility.

So, when you feel low or not at your best, look around you. There is beauty, compassion and love everywhere you go. There are silent heroes and angels amongst the constant moving stream of people around you. You can find it in the unnamed grocery store patron who runs after you holding the credit card in their hand that dropped out of your handbag or pocket. It is in the extra time that your landlord gives you to listen to your troubles. It is in the smiles that you receive from passersby.

Angels cross your path everyday, every moment when you just look up and let them into your heart.
