Are You Getting Bored with Your Life?
Do you feel you are not getting what you want out of life? Do you feel frustrated? Are you demotivated to go to work? Are you losing interest in what you are doing? Do you feel you are not getting any further?
Let me tell you something.
Your God did not create you to be in a rut. Or to be frustrated. Or to be bored. Or to be disinterested. Or to be guilty. Or angry. Or discouraged.
You were designed and primed to excel. You were conditioned to be your best. To make the most of what you are. To be the person you want to be. And therefore, you have no reason right now to feel sorry that you are not.
Because you are not! So get up! Get on your feet! Shed and shake that lousy, negative feeling out of your body! Do stationary jog for a double count of 30! And while doing that, stretch your arms, open your palms, and imagine receiving an extra powerful energy through your hands as you say to yourself repeatedly, “I am God’s creation! I feel great! I am excited!” until you finish the count. Go ahead, do it.
Now go to the mirror and look at your face. Replace that haggard look with your finest grin, put some glow in your eyes. “I am God’s creation! I feel great! I am excited!”
Go get a shower. Shave if you must. Do your hair. Put on your best clothes. Do whatever will keep that excitement all about you.
You see, you have to psyche yourself up to be up. If you keep on nourishing and feeding your miserable state with negative thoughts, you will drive yourself deep down to despondency and two feet under. You do not want that. The reason you feel down is because you do not want that.
And you have a choice. To be up, you have to choose to be up! You have to muster the courage and the strength and the effort to rise above your imagined rottenness and be the person you want to be.
Now you are ready for a change. You need a change. You need to change. You are ready for an exploration towards a new you. Get a paper and pen, and summon your will while it is fully charged.
- What do you want of life? What do you want to be? To have? To do?
- What are your best points? What can you do best? What else can you do best?
- Which answer in Item 1 is your top priority? Choose one that can be attained.
- Match your top priority versus your best points.
- How can you achieve this? Be specific.
- Who are the people who can help you achieve this?
Lay these ideas for a while and let them gestate for a few days. With the new excitement all over you, get on with your work or whatever it is you are doing. You may discover that your work is not so bad after all, and you may find a new way, a new approach or a new method of doing things.

what god? god’s a myth. Yeah, doing all that other stuff is fine but don’t presume there’s a god. Accidental wayfarers we are. We live, we think, we die. Sometimes we do not think but believe in a good as a convenient way to find purpose. But purpose comes out of seeing reality in the eye and accepting that there is nothing special in any of us. Some are lucky, the others aren’t. Win some, lose some. Live and die. Most times we forget to live but all of us have to die. And what you saying about, after the god-balderdash is removed, is to live.

Psalm 14:1 For the director of music. Of David. The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.

Thanks dp, BP. Thank you for your comments. Whatever you believe in is up to you. If you believe there is no God or there is God, i will respect that. If you think there is a greater reason for us being here, writing, sharing thoughts, well and good. If you think, you just live and think and die, there is no other person who can change that for a better reason than you.
As for me, I believe in God and will continue to discover how I can be the best of what i can be because that’s what I feel my God wants me to do. And I enjoy every minute of my life discovery.
