Are You Really Living Healthy?

Living a healthy lifestyle has become a major part of many people’s lives. But are all the bases covered? Are you living as healthy as you can?

Hepa filters are good, and will help during the winter months. They are also great during the times you use your air conditioning. They do help trap some of the dust, pollen and allergens that are in the air. But you can also help eliminate airborne enemies as well. Stop using aerosol sprays. Use natural herbal potpourri or candles if you want to have a fragrance in the air. Use liquid, all natural cleaners. Some of these you can actually make yourself or you can find them online and at specialty and health stores.

Get rid of your spray air freshener, your spray bathroom cleaner, your oven cleaner, your counter cleaner, your spray disinfectants. They linger in the air, you breath them in, and then they linger in the air some more. Try finding recipes for making your own all natural cleaners and air fresheners.

Vinegar and water is great for washing your counter tops, rinsing your dishes and washing your floors. A little baking soda on a wet rag will work just like a cleanser will in the bathroom, and leave it smelling fresher. Some slices of lemon in the bottom of your trash container will help keep it smelling fresh. Stick slice in the bottom of each bag in your containers throughout the house.

Use a damp cloth with a little furniture oil to do your dusting instead of aerosol furniture polish. Try using gell or pump hairspray instead of aerosols. Put a little baking soda down your drains instead of pouring bleach. By taking all these toxins out of the air in your home, you will breath a lot better and your home will be a much healthier environment.

Set house plants around in each room. They take in carbon monoxide and release oxygen. They are great to look at and at the same time help to clear your air. Keep litter boxes on the back porch, or in the basement. The dust from the litter can get into the air and you can inhale that too.

Very appropriate for a season where we retreat to air conditioned rooms.
