Building Self Confidence

Self confidence issues are one of the issues that many were faced with, are facing, and will be facing. It actually all starts in your mind. Only you ad you alone can build your own self confidence, hence, the word “self”. Only you can do it, it is either you making it or breaking it, nevertheless, it is all about you.

Here are a few tips you will need to know about to help you build that self confidence you need:

It’s a Belief

You first have to know that self confidence is a belief, and like any other beliefs, you need to believe it yourself in order to make it real. You believe that you are self confident or you believe your not, it really is for you to choose. All beliefs are supported by reference legs. Think of a stool for example, the seat being your self confidence and with the reference legs underneath. The sturdier the reference legs are the more stable your self confidence is, so it is with beliefs. The more support, the stronger it gets.

The Reference Legs

These reference legs can be anything (incidents, encounters with person, inner realization) from the past that you use to hold up your beliefs. Let us say you believe that you are bashful, some reference legs that you can have to sustain that belief are different memories or incidents you had, maybe when you were little there was a class recitation and you blacked out and you ended up with nothing to say. Reference legs lift ups your beliefs, may it be goof or bad.

Change

To change your belief, you first have to change your reference legs that up lifts that belief. Right now, the reference legs that you have which are supporting your belief that you are not self confident, are negative ones. What you need to do now is to think of positive reference legs that are positive. For instance you once painted something unique that everyone appreciated, which can be a positive reference leg. Recall positive memories from the past and gather as many as you can to make your new belief (that you are self confident) stronger! Find as many instances in your life wherein you had self confidence and group them to begin building up your new belief- that you are self confident!

These are just suggestions that you can choose to apply. The real key into changing your outlook in life, making you self confident is within you. You can only change is you choose to and no one else can make you change, no one can without you letting them. Begin to live a happier, freer, and more confident now! Choose to change.
