Christmas Cheer All Year?
by How can anyone who closes their eyes or looks the other way when a fellow Human Being, down and out, walks by consider them selves a good person, up right or righteous in the eyes of any higher power?
Everyone has herd of “Feed the Children Foundation” but what about families with no children? What about the Elderly? What about the Homeless? Foster Care has plenty of money to provide food for the children there since they literally give away thousands of dollars to Foster Care Parents to find other children to place into their program. If they can afford that they can afford to care for the children in their care.
Adults having hard times or the Elderly with no one to care for them have nothing and no one. Many of the Homeless are forgotten and kicked to the side by their own families because of mental problems or inabilities to retain a job or have drinking or drug problems they can’t seem to kick and no one wants to deal with. Yet they are Human Beings too with little to no hope as far as they can see. Now days many of those living on our streets are vets having come home from their time spent in the service protecting us, but found they had no home to come back to.
Do you really think the children of this world could fend for themselves should something ever happen to every adult, leaving them the only living people in this world? I remember a Star Trek show many years ago with a scenario like that, unfortunately it is not without merit to think something like that could happen. Healthy adults stand a better chance of fending off sicknesses and diseases than malnutrition adults do. But it seems that not many people care. People care about children and even animals, but other adults?
Churches try to feed all the people in their neighborhoods but because of many set backs not the least of which is greed, stores that once donated food to them no longer do so and would rather trash it. Because of a hand full of sick people making the news big time and scaring the populace churches have such strict restrictions placed on them most of them can’t even hold “Bake Sales” anymore. We have become a wasteful people with no heart for our fellow Human Being; until such time as we people feed all the people and not just certain types of people we are the most backward country in the world. We are certainly not a good example for any other country to follow if we can not provide for our own people’s needs. The thing of it is WE CAN but we all must be willing to help out and do our part.
