Consider “Places” Where Specific Needs are Best Served

All "places" matter because each "place" produces some form of influence,
but not everyone belongs just "anywhere".
So in order to maximize benefits derived from any particular "place" chosen
for work, rest, creativity, or prayer/meditation, weigh the result in the
balance of all personal goals, expectations, needs, and desires.

Many years ago, The Beatles penned a song called, “There’s a Place” in which the lyrics

described a special “place where I can go…. when I feel low… when I feel blue…..”, yet during

the normal course of daily life, few people give much consideration to the various “places” they

inhabit, work, visit, or vacation, and the direct effect those very “places” exude upon success in

goal and business achievement, personal satisfaction, physical health or emotional well-being.

“Places” are anywhere someone wants them to be, can be a deliberate creation or substitution

for the “real” or actual “place” in mind, and include anything or anywhere from the quiet, inner

recesses of the heart, to a private area in a certain room, none of which may necessarily

conform to normally conjured concepts; the intended “place”…for healing,

meditation/ prayer, creativity, rest, work, etc., can be anything or anywhere desirable.

ALL “places” matter. They either sublimely or intensely impact every area of our being,

and to best discover individual reaction to any “place”, assess all emotional, relational, spiritual

responses, or even business succeses.  Inventory all personal feelings.

Document them for future reference.

Not everyone, family, group, or company, belongs in the same “place”, or “just anywhere”.

There are “places” simply designed to promote the best in each one; it is merely a task to ferret

out and distinguish them  from any others.

However, apart from the more ethereal notion of “places” and their influences, more concrete

objectives in planning where to go and for what purposes, should be allotted balance in good

judgment and sound strategy; for instance: retirement relocation.

A retiree, for example, should write a check list of physical, psychological, spiritual, and

financial needs that include specifics in each separate category, giving equal deliberation

to all matters:

1. Would relocation involve easy access to recreational activities the retiree would enjoy,

or might more limited social engagements be more amenable to his/ her personality?

2. What about the necessity for emergency medical assistance and preferred health care

    professionals?

3. What type of climate and/or topography would be most desirable or suitable to overall health?

4.  Might it be in his/ her best interest to be in close proximity to family members, etc?

Numerous thoughts over and above these mentioned need to be detailed, fully addressed,

then discussed with a trusted adviser, friend, or family member.

Perhaps a middle-aged couple mapping out a business trip may want to maximize time to include

an educational detour or mini-vacation surrounded by natural beauty, and double the value of their

original intention for that trip by selecting a “ place” either near, or in the  precise area, of their

destination. Such “added value” ideas must also be carefully considered to decrease overall

expenses while engaging the intellect or appeasing all senses.

Certainly young couples with children may differ in their own needs for a given “place” from singles

with children of similar ages, as do individuals with no family ties whatsoever; therefore, in the

process of choosing different locales  for select purposes, it is important for someone to know and

discern among needs, desires, and expectations to be extracted from any given “place”, and

then from that vantage point, decide with deliberate intent exactly where and what

“places” best serve those goals for total, optimum benefits.
