Do We Really Want Peace – The Reasons and Remedies for Unrest in the World Today?
Unrest in the world arises out of unresolved conflicts between people. Nations war against nations, political groups fight with one another and among themselves, religious fanatics kill innocent people indiscriminately, neighbors quarrel with one another and family members do not speak to one another for months.
Do we really want peace? Do we really want the unrest to go away? Here are some useful tips about the reasons and remedies for unrest in the world today.

Unrest Caused by Criminals
Besides all these things, there is also unrest caused by criminals performing their daily tasks of robbing, cheating and killing. So much unrest occurs in all strata of society. What are the reasons?
There are many reasons why conflicts between people occur. One country may accuse another of trespassing on its territory while another may invade its neighbor for so – called economic reasons. Religious groups can, and have, in the name of their religion persecute and kill those who do not agree with them. Ideological differences are the main factor causing the squabble between political parties. Family members may not speak to another because some of them want to run the lives of the others.

Robbers and cheats abound because of the overpowering desire to become rich without working honestly for it. These criminals are too consumed by their greed to care about the consequences of their actions. All they want is money and lots of it. They would do almost anything and employ any means to achieve their aims. If anybody who stands in their way stands a good chance of getting hurt or killed. So they carry on, causing anger, fear and unrest among the more law – abiding people.

Some good points here, and excellent suggestions; and I’d add the invisible wicked one to the list of trouble makers.

I think this article is very interesting and the way you have put it in words is remarkable. I would like more people to be able to see this and to think about all you have put into it. The society today definitely needs a wake up call.

I wish the whole world could read this and practice your steps. However we know that is not the case, and we continue praying for the best and that we are not the ones to see the world come to the end.

I understand your sincere concern over the issue because we are on the same boat. In the Philippines, civil unrest and armed conflict due to differences in opinions, ideologies and other related issues continue to escalate ,thus, achieving peace remains an illusive dream … Thanks for sharing.

War is hell, but unfortunately political and religious differences continue to be the main excuses for it. A good write, thanks.

Very powerful! Change will not come over night. However we can begin these remedies you speak of right in our own homes, with our own families….
