Everybody Wins

A Idea for the solutions of unemployment, oil and natural gas, and population.

    Most of us live a hard-working day to day life. We as human beings deserve a better standard of living, even if some people seem like they don’t deserve it. Maybe if a large amount of stress was taken away from our lives, people would be happier, and a little bit nicer to others. Also, obviously we can’t rely on big governments to take care of an exponentially increasing population. I’m sure they are getting tired of trying to take care of so many people. We need to be more self-sufficient and localized if we want to survive in the future. That’s why I propose;

   1. Create more jobs by allowing a person to work every other week, while still paying that person the same amount of money as if he was working full time.  So the week a person is off, doing whatever, someone else in need of a job can fill in that week. If this was the way of every job in the U.S., then the total amount of jobs would be doubled.

   I think we deserve to have more time off for family, friends, or personal reasons, equal to the amount of time we spend working. Not these BS short little weekends.

  2. Create underground communities made out of plastic (Yes, plastic can be made strong enough to support these structures, and withstand even desert-like heat.) There seems to be so much plastic, and we need something to do with our trash, right?

  These communities are meant to save room on the surface of the planet for farming, trees, wildlife, recreation, etc. Whether or not you are a hippie, either way, we need oxygen to breath don’t we? Most of us have heard about ‘the Rain Forest being cut down’. Hippie or not, think about the consequences in the long term future. You may say you don’t give a F***, but you better. Personally, I want my children and my children’s children, to live a great, happy life on this planet, without the wars, without poverty, and without suffering.

   Also, this will remove a large need for gas, because people will live closer to where they work. Mostly within walking distance, or at least have other means of getting around the city.

  One day, oil and natural gas WILL run out. We need to save it for the important things. Of course this doesn’t mean you will have to give up your Lambos and Ferraris, it just means there will be more gas for you to waste on your joy rides.

  3. Make some of these communities so that they don’t always use money. Provide people with a private home and free food, as long as they work and do something for others. Say build one of these in Africa, where it would be much needed. You would have farmers, who get to live on the surface. They are allowed to live in a nice house provided for them, as long as they tend to the crops and provide the others with food.

  Maybe you just want earn a simple living, you can sweep at a theater every other week and still get a decent home and free food, but harder jobs will earn you bigger and better housing or rewards.

  We need to think about the long term future. As the intellectually dominate species on the planet, we have a responsibility of taking care of it, and protecting it from ourselves. We must also take care of the lesser species, and treat them with respect.
