Hi there. Okay we’re in what the experts call an economic downturn period. There’s no denying it, many people have and still are losing jobs due to the domino effect. My fiance is a job centre manager and for the last year has seen all kinds of people trooping through her doors to sign on as unemployed.
Recently, it’s been the people from the financial sector who have came in. We’re now at the stage of overwhelming numbers of people all chasing the same limited amount of jobs…we’re talking fierce competition and a time of rich pickings for any prospective employer who can now afford to skim the cream off the competition when it comes to applicant selection.
Every day it seems there’s another well known chain of stores closing, companies going bust and even the huge trans global corporations are paring back their workforces. So what is the solution? is it simply to acccept a stoical resolve and keep plodding on, spending tons of man hours searching for jobs, filling out mountains of application forms and sending them off? Rather soul destroying, don’t you think?
Well, I believe there is another way. What I will state here is that for some people this other way will not suit them. Why? Because they are either too scared to make the leap of faith that is required here, and that is understandable, or they are materialists, by that I mean they don’t believe in anything that the five senses cannot define.
Unfortunately for most people, they are slaughtered daily by the mass media who, unaffected by the current events, have a vested interest in shoving the economic downturn down our throats on television, radio and newspapers, not to mention the internet! All this does is reinforces ‘mass negative throught patterns’ that pervade the ether and create gloom, doom and disaster in the minds of the populace.
However, there is a solution to the problem. And fortunately it only requires YOU to change it. Now if I told you (reader) that you have the power to change your situation, you would probably trot out the old chestnut that you’re just a pawn in the game and ask how could you make a difference to a situation that has even the so called economic experts baffled.
