Find Your Passion and Change Your Life

“Yeah sure”  I hear you say, that’s just modern psycho babble, hippy trippy, new age claptrap! Well, actually it’s not.  How do I know?  ‘Cos I’ve personally proved it…and…am still proving it.  How did I do it? Simple…I started working out a game plan for my life, the way I wanted it to be, to suit me and no one else, then I acted out my fantasy life by living like the person I wanted to be, I took personal steps to make it happen (and all within a tight shoestring budget) I networked, got favours for nothing from good helpul people who bought into my ideas, sold myself as the ‘new person’ and people started seeing me as that.

I was in a succesful professional career in education, a teacher, so I was unaffected by the downturn to an extent as far as my job went.  the problem was, I felt stilted and unchallenged and was struggling with having to jump through other peoples’ hoops.  I knew this wasn’t satisfying me deep down….all it as doing was paying the bills….I needed a life I could control and call the shots.  So, I took a leap of faith,  gave up my job,(I can hear the gasps already…what a fool eh?) and embarked on a new career as a different person with a new persona and new skills and talents.  My new career is totally outwith education and it is taking off like nobodies business!!! Wow!!! 

The secret to changing your life for the better, where you will be in control, is to have a skill or talent to offer first, do a life plan or life review, a SWOT anaylsis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) of what you wnat to be and do and a course of action to schieve it, step by small step! Once you actually begin this process, keep a diary of your progress, network, get yourself out there, get noticed, read self help books, meditate and visualise yourself as being successful, see the important  person buying into your idea or calling you on the telephone etc, see yourself making god money, getting rewarded and having and living the lifestyle you want.  Jesus (no I’m not a Christian) knew all about the laws of attraction when he said plainly to his disciples…..”Ask and ye SHALL receive” (emphasis mine).  Ask the universe today to deliver that new positive, happy and fun filled life…you can have it.

PS, one last thing to say….you’ve got to be both positive in your outlook….AND passionate about what you’re doing. The millionaire (billionnaire?) entepreneur Sir Richard Branson said in his latest book that passion was ‘all’  for him… it was not about the money initially, but the fun and the passion!  I wish you well in your new life….now go do it!
