Frog’s Meat Tastes Like Chicken

People in Asian countries are mostly meat eaters. Most of them can not live without eating meat. They grow up in that life style and it is really hard to do away with it specially that they are eating rice in almost every meal, they can not stand eating rice without meat to go with it. This is maybe the reason they are trying to eat whatever meat they think would be eatable. They eat frogs, lizards, snakes and the like as long as they take out the poisonous part of the animal. To me, that is gross but to them? it is delicious.

Frogs taste like chicken according to them. They are very creative in cooking frog meat in a ways that is palatable to their taste. Some of the people I know said fried frogs, frog barbecue are their favorite way of preparing from meat. They really love it as substitute for chicken when it is not available. People living in villages near the river will go hunting frogs in the river anytime of the day for food. Well, that is a good initiative since meat is very expensive in the market. If frogs taste like chicken, why buy chicken in the market when they can get a chicken substitute free in the river nearby? Well, in our present economy it is very practical for people to find food in a way they think delicious and economical.

Well, we can’t blame people who are just trying to survive in a way they think right. If others would raise their eye brows to people who eat snakes, frogs, turtle or whatever which they think gross, in my opinion that is more decent than robbery or swindling.
