Full Time Rving

How full time RV life and how our family got started.

There are challenges to living this lifestyle and there are such wonderful benefits and blessings. We have been blessed to meet people who we may have never met otherwise. We have learned about other areas of the country and Canada from those we have met in our travels. We have been able to stop struggling with bills. I personally have learned what I truly NEED to live because when you move into a camper you can’t be such a packrat, which is my case is a very BIG blessing.

Of course life is life wherever you are. There are always certain normal life stresses. There are always struggles and there are always difficult people. But there are also wonders, blessings, and amazing people. Every park is different, every area is different. That is one of the amazing things. I guess I look at this as more than just a lifestyle. For me full timing is a part of my full life journey. Life is about learning. Meeting new people and seeing new places allows me to learn and grow in ways I could not when I was living in the same town I had been in my whole life. I can share my life’s lessons and learn from those I am fortunate enough to meet along my new journey.

If everybody knew what a wonderful life this is we would be living in very crowded parks and boondocking areas. But I’m not concerned about that because this life is not for everyone. I met a family at my last park who was only doing this until their house sold and they could buy another. They had been in a camper for almost a year and they hate it. She asked me if I was sick of it yet and I was astounded. Sick of it? I don’t think I’ll ever get sick of it. I LOVE the fact that when I get tired of an area, and that is always bound to happen, I can just hook onto my home and move on. Or if I love a place I can stay for as long as I like. So, though I can’t imagine anyone not loving this life, I learned from this family that not everyone would love this life the way we do and I think that is just fine.

But if you think that full timing might be for you, do your research and know that it is a wonderful life if you choose it.
