Going Vegetarian
If you are having trouble going vegetarian, or want to, here are some tips.
Vegetarianism is supposed to be healthy. It’s supposed to make you feel good, better, and make you happy. But if your having problems actually stopping the meat flow, some tips:
Go to vegetarian friendly restaurants, that tell you whats in the food, or actually say whether it’s vegetarian or not. better yet, try restaurants with whole vegetarian sections to their menus. Check the restaurant’s menu before going in, it’s usually posted outside. If you really want something but it has meat in it, ask the waiter/ waitress whether the cook can take it out. Sweet Tomatoes restaurant/ Soup plantation is really good at labeling their food.
Go to the freezer section of a grocery store and look at their substitute meats. If you absolutely hate the taste, that’s okay. Eat something else. Or don’t be vegetarian. Tofu is pretty good. It just depends on how you cook it.
If your going vegan, and you like dairy, there are such things as soy ice cream or soy cheese or soy yogurt. Just depends on whether you like them.
Get vegetarian cookbooks, with no pictures of meet and stuff.
Make sure you get enough protein. Protein shakes are pretty good.
And if you really don’t like any of it, or can’t find enough nutrition with a vegetarian diet, you don’t have to be vegetarian or vegan. It’s not the end of the world, regardless of what people say.
