Good Will Always Conquer Evil

Trust your heart and you will always be safe.

Inspiration comes from within your soul. From the moment you wake up in the morning to the moment that you lay your head down to sleep. You have control over all your thoughts, all your life. You have control over creating the life of your dreams. You must always believe in yourself.

In order to believe you are worth the world, you must live your life where your words follow your actions and your actions reflect your world. That is the only way in this world to be able to stand up tall and look people directly in their eyes. People will always be able to see who you are and what you are truly made of through your eyes. Good does conquer evil. It does. I know this through my experiences.

Let me give you a glimpse into exactly how powerful good is.

I was out bike riding one day and I noticed a homeless pregnant lady on the sidewalk. Next to her she had a large sign that said “Please call the police”. I almost passed her, but I thought about all the times that I had passed by homeless people and wanted to give them a blanket, or food, or do something for them and yet continued on my way. So that day, I turned my bike around and stopped.

While I don’t recommend everyone doing this, as what happened was traumatizing and yet, ironically, uplifting, I wanted to share this story because the faith in my heart is what I believed revealed how good conquers evil.

At first, I took out my cell phone and asked the lady what I should tell the police. She sort of looked at me blankly. Then I reassured her that I would call the police for her and began dialing. While the phone was ringing she began to talk to me in a very abusive manner, calling me names, etc. I have studied much about the human psyche and studied in a Marriage, Family, therapy graduate program and know that many people act in such manners because they are afraid to be helped by another. Like a teenager who tells a parent they hate them, when the parents are setting rules to protect them. I began to speak to the police officer and ignore the homeless lady’s words.

Wow! I am more wary of helping people because of a similiar situation but you need to continue doing your best! Thanks for sharing your experience.
