Got a Minute to Heal Your Body?

It might be me but don’t we all just want to live a long and prosperous life? Well apart from you apathetic ones out there then yes I believe the answer is yes.

But it has come to my attention that I am always trying to Kill time. Whether it be counting all the pennies in my drawer, guessing the exact moment my boss will tell me I have one last chance before I’m fired, or just sitting around and staring at the watch on the wall, I am always trying to make those insignificant seconds go by. For this reason I decided to come up with a list of things of 5 things to do throughout the day that can be not only beneficial to your life, but also to your heart, brain, eyes, and overall output on life. 

1. Take 5 minutes everyday!

-You work all week long for someone, for yourself, or for a company, how about relaxing for a small portion of the day for yourself, remind yourself of where you stand in life, if you are enjoying life remember that you are, if you are going through some hard times take this time to collect all your thoughts and come up with a new plan. No matter what in the end the hardest person you should be working for is yourself. 

2. Doodle (draw for those of you who forgot your childhood :)

-You may not know it but research has shown that those who still use their creative juices even after their teens can still develop their brain. Trying hard to think of new things to write about, new ideas for work, have a deadline, nothing gets those juices pumping than good ole fashioned CREATIVITY. Grab a piece of paper and a pen and draw something. I’m not asking you to present the worlds next modern Mona Lisa, but hey if you can’t say it or think of it, let it come from your mind and onto paper!

3. Drink Water.

-Coffee, energy drinks, sodas, hey I know how hard it is to get through the day without crashing but when was the last time you downed 8 glasses of natures purest? Hey plain and simple, cold glass of water not only refreshes, it helps for maintaining a healthy weight, flushing the body of unnecessary wastes, and can make going to the bathroom a whole lot more pleasant. 

4. Clean Your Room

-mmmmmhm mom was definitely right, and well you should still listen to her! Ever wake up in the morning to your room still a mess? OH yeah I bet you have, if your like me a messy room is the equivalent to a hangover after Oktoberfest, not good. keeping your work and living area clean and tidy gives your mind unequaled relaxation, allowing you to focus on the real worries of your day, so go ahead do what your momma told you, GET IT TOGETHER!

5. Puzzled?

-last but not least, keep your brain active, go on line find a puzzle, riddle, anything that challenges you to think outside your ordinary everyday life, you may be the whiz at the office or home, but hey keeping your overall IQ at the top of its game helps (you never know when you might just be on the next million dollar game show)

-of course these are not the only things on the list of healthy living, you can think of your own, just remember that life is not as short as people make it seem, things you do now can and will probably affect your future, so remember to sit back relax and remind yourself that this body of yours is great and so are you.
