Factor 3:  Choose Dreams You Can Work With In Real Life

Man has the ability to apply logic and intuition, faith and discipline of body, mind, and spirit for a good purpose in life. Although we are free to dream of fantastic situations, the choice is ours to direct that same time and freedom to think of futuristic realities of matters that can be in the future, instead of the fantastic that have no logical basis at all. But that depends on the situation of a person. There are those who have substantial means to aim for great goals starting with just dreaming about it. To make their blessings more meaningful for themselves and for the rest of the world, they should find a way to make their dreams come true.

What about people who do not have much ? Most of the things they aim for are translated into money. If a person has this much money, he can pursue a specific dream, like a dream car, a dream house, a dream job. It usually starts with looking for a way to gain the wealth needed in order to have something that belongs to a dream.

Begin with considering the value of alternative choices. Avoid being a fool by rushing for the attainment of what might not be good for your own life somewhere along the way. Will you enjoy becoming a champion wrestler someday, knowing that the body will most probably feel a lot of pain long before the point of becoming a contender ? That is, can your body take the pain after being thrown down and kicked and pinned by several 200 pounder wrestlers. Will you be content with entering the hospital once in a while to fix wounds or possible broken bones ? Consider furthermore that a champion may have so much rewards. Literarily hundreds would want to challenge one and take over the championship. People will never stop until the best has been replaced, or even after that, and until the most persistent challenger takes the crown for a time. Yes, it will be possible to entertain billions of people worldwide, as a wrestler working for the champioship. Just be ready for the time when you will have to lose that position.

Most top posts are held only for a number of years. If you can become content with that, go for it. However, consider alternatives which can satisfy up to the end of a lifetime. There are even choices that aim beyond the grave and into future generations. People who realize their value to those who will be next in line in the building of a better world — thoughtful parents and grandparents, educators who live in the hearts of students they have taught, leaders who provided for the good lives of followers — are the idealists who made not just their dreams come true, but who also made so many other people realize their dreams.
