How to Live Happily Ever After

Some tips for a better life.

We all have seen those movies, were the actors end up living a perfect life, got what they wanted and lived the way they wanted. Don’t you envy those endings? If your answer is yes, well, you are not alone.

Media has influenced our thought of a happy life. When movies where not yet available, the rate of suicide was much less. Why is that? The answer is very easy; self conditioning. Today automatically as we watch these types of movies, we imagine ourselves being there, witnessing a major breakthrough in our lives, as they change drastically to perfection. When confronted with reality, some people are not strong enough to accept it, thus, depression and mental breakdowns are a common occurrence.

So how do we live happily ever after?

The first step is to accept there is no such thing. A perfect life with no trouble, no tears, no deaths and money problems doesn’t exist. The idea of perfection we see in some movies is inspired by such desperation, to create a perfect little universe, called Hollywood.

But the good news is that although you cannot have a perfect life, you can still live a happy one. I have traveled to some poor countries, and all I saw on people faces were big smiles, full of courage. On the other hand, in busy cities full of business, people hurried down for meetings, spending every second of their time trying to please their bosses or customers. So should we be poor? Of course not, But we must make a ribbon between work and family. It’s called priority.

We can live a happy life by accepting our self. Some of us may not have the perfect bodies or looks of Hollywood stars, maybe not even the clothes they wear. If when looking at the mirror your body starts quenching, than, you have to start having respect for yourself. Every human being in this universe has his/her own potential. Comparing it with other people won’t make it better. Using it will enhance it, make it more beautiful and makes you feel good.

Accepting your situation is also an important fact to live a happy life. Having financial problems, health problems may not be that easy. Things are easier said than done, but if you can overcome these problems by accepting them as part of your life, than I’m sure you will feel better.

The next step is to work for your happy life. Standing there and waiting for the sky fall down won’t help. If you have financial problems, try to get a better job, or try and reduce your debts. Try as hard as you get, fight for it, in the end, you will have your price.

The last step is to live your life. See what your idea of a perfect life is, and live it up. Don’t waste time pitying your self, instead, look at the mirror and feel good and proud. You are your self, confident, happy and above all, satisfied with you life.

I perfectly agree with what you have written. Happiness is not longing for something we cannot have but excepting and living to the full the things we got in our lives.
