To Limit Your Number of Options You Consider
People achieve more pleasure choosing a chocolate from a selection of five than a selection of thirty. So the idea is that, while we think more choice is the best, often less is more. More choice will makes more demands on your information processing skills, and the process can be confusing and time consuming. Greater choice also increases the chances of making a mistake, so you may feel less satisfied because of a fear that you have missed a better opportunity.

Teach with paradox of choice hits some harder than others. The worst affected are maximizes that those who examine all options before making up their minds. “Satifier” is the people who tend to choose the first option that meets their requirements that suffer least. If you are out to “good enough”, a lot of the pressures off and the task of choosing something in the sea of limitless choice become more manageable.
So, instead of searching for your ideal camera, ask a friend if he is happy with his. If he is, it will probably do for you too. Even in situations when a choice seems for too important to simply satisfies, try to limit the number of options you consider.

The final conclusion is not very clear. But apparently a coordinated decision is always better than an individual decision in any affairs.Thank you Ghaz for sharing.

You are right, too many decisions can be frustrating. When I bring my grand kids to the store, I choose 4 or 5 items (toys) they can pick ONE from. This way they do not choose one that I can not afford, or one that is junk and will fall apart as soon as we get home. It also saves time. Too many choices makes one confused. Good article.

I can’t make a decision what to comment. lol. Great piece. If you let someone else choose and it’s a mistake you have someone else to blame.
