How to Make Yourself Happy
How to change your mood.
Although these tips seem pedestrian and silly, try them the
next time you are depressed or sad or feeling overwhelmed by
life.
-
Smile
The act of smiling tends to make you feel better. Sometimes,
inappropriate smiles are so ridiculous they make you laugh.Think of smiling while saying, “Oh dear, you broke your leg,”
and you’ll get the impact. -
Let Go of Everything Outside of This Moment
Right now you are sitting and looking at a computer screen.
Whatever is going on, before this minute, during this minute
or will happen in the next minute, let it go. Just be here
now and smile. -
Reflect
Think of breathing. Think of meals you’ve eaten. Think of
being on a computer. How many people are now gasping for
breath, starving to death, or will never have a computer.
You’re not doing bad, are you? -
Recognize
Things could not have turned out any differently than they
did. Regrets are used toilet paper. Flush them. What ifs
and could ifs are pointless philosophical exercises. -
Take Pleasure
The smallest thing, a flower, a cup of coffee, music, a pet,
anything around you right now which is “okay”. It doesn’t
have to be great, it just has to be okay. Okay is good
enough. -
Humor
No matter what it is, explain it to yourself in a funny way.
Make a joke out of it. Some of the funniest jokes are the
way someone sees adversity. Think of the worst thing that
could happen, and imagine saying; “Splendid.” -
Control
You are going to be happy no matter what happens, what anyone
says or does, you are in charge of you, and you are going to
be happy.

Good Day!
I am a simple person with one simple wish in life, to have my own family but I am too old to have one at this time. I do believe on the things above but its still hard to be alone when you already reach the age of 30. What will I don to make my life interesting?

thirty isn’t old. And you can have a family. Many people wind up at some spot on the world map which is not where they belong. Once they move to somewhere else they find what they’re looking for. Since where you are is not offering anything; go somewhere else…another city another country…and you might get your wish

I can’t go out by myself even that I’m 30 year old. I want to go with other places but its not easy for me to leave my family and without someone else. My friends are already in other countries with their own families. I want to be like them but there’s no one who have guts to fight for me.

of course you can go out by yourself…what if you had a toothache?
what if you needed to buy something? You can’t go to the shop by yourself or the doctor? What about visiting a relative…you can not visit anyone?

I can’t go to shopping without my family. Sounds wierd but its true. I’d rather stay at home than to go to mall for window shopping. I want to get involve in sports like bowling or badminton but I need someone to accompany me to go there. Yes, I’m too dependent with my family and with my 2 friends. I want to try everything but I don’t know how and where to start?

that’s remarkable. Even when I was a child I used to love to be on my own. It is very hard to identify with a person who is dependent. I guess enjoying ones own company and not being afraid to be alone is part of happiness.

so how can I move on and do what I want if I’m afraid to go out by myself?

why are you afraid? Just go out to the supermarket or post office or library in the day. See what happens.
