How to Relax Effectually

Life getting you down?? It’s always good to take some well deserved “me-time” and give you mind a rest.

Do you find yourself always busy? Or maybe you seem to spend al your time trying to get that promotion you’ve been expecting long before you started to work or maybe it’s that relationship you’ve been working on or maybe it’s the work that’s piling up in your study. Sounds like you? You never seem to have the time to do the things that you used to look forward to. If that’s you then this article is just for you.

If you’re not big into baths then I’m pretty sure you will never be able to truely understand the meaning of the word ‘relax’, but seriously you should try it. I mean, come on, you’ve got nothing to loose, you regular ‘bathers’ will know what i mean.

What you’ll need:

  • Plenty of hot water
  • Bubble bath (or soap)
  • Candles
  • Calm instrumental or water-sounds music (optional)

Ok, so start by lighting a few candles around the bath, then fill the bath with hot water and add the bubble bath. Put on the music, get undressed and voila, you have a perfect, relaxing bath.

Maybe bathing is not your thing and you much prefer to shower and get it over with so you can jump back into your jeans. Another top way to relax is by sitting round a open log or turf fire.

What you’ll need:

  • some comfy cloths
  • the fire (obviosly)
  • skewer(s)
  • marshmallows
  • hot chocolate (/coffee/tea whichever you prefer)
  • a good book

Ok, start by getting into some comfortable cloths, cause remember, relaxing is not a fashion contest. Get the fire going and get the drinking chocolate, sit down beside the open fire with you marshmallows etc and start toasting. (The trick with toasting marshmallows is to hold them over red hot coals etc. instead of the flame. That way it takes a little longer but your marshmallows will go a golden brown colour and taste of heaven.) If you want you can put marshmallows in you hot drink. Then dig into your good book.
