I Want to Be Happy
Is it a difficult thing for one to strive to be happy in life, and is it a bad thing to go on such trail in quest of happiness?
Is it a sin to go after happiness? Happiness in the sense that you are going after something that will give you the satisfaction that you feel you deserve.
I have discussed this topic with a lot of friends and I received different answers from them on this fast-becoming controversial topic.
Some of them said that depending on what you term as your quest for happiness, you may be doing the wrong things to achieve happiness. A picture came to mind here. A man or woman who is pressuring a member of the opposite sex to leave his/her marriage so that they can be wedded and be together as that a,lone would offer him/her happiness in life is doing something very immoral.
Going after happiness is a good thing but only when one is doing what would bring all he meets on his way in his quest happiness as well will he say he is on a trail that would find him happiness eventually. Anything short of that is wrong.
Well, it is a tall order if one is to judge from the above assertion. It has been said that rules are meant to be broken, hence, the dogma like ‘there must be an exception’ in every situation in life. There is no way someone will go after happiness without ruffling some feathers. That is the order of life.
But I want to be happy without ruffling feathers. Is there any help out there my friends?
