If Not with a Silver Spoon, Then with What?
by If you were not born with a silver spoon, then what were you born with?
Eddie Iroh, the Nigerian writer wrote the novel “without a silver spoon” and I’ve since been considering what the alternative would be. So if I’m not born with a silver spoon then I am born with what? Actually, to be born with a silver spoon is to be born into affluence and wealth and a lot of people belong to this class, which is cool. How about some of us who only hope for affluence or wealth, what then were we born with?
Right from time and all through ages, its either poor or wealthy, haves or haves not, there or here, so that might mean with or without or silver spoon, ok. If it’s without a silver spoon, then with which type of spoon, is it clay or wooden? Correct me if I’m wrong but for someone like me who grow in the ghettos and start hustling right from my mama’s womb, I think it cant be clay for I would have long destroyed it and should it be wooden then those who break our rules should have had their head smashed.
Hope you are aware of the fact and I do know too that “Without a silver spoon” is only an idiom!
