Just a Really Bad Day

Just how bad a day can be sometimes.

Find another spot with info and as you click on the sites, it just takes you round and round.  You had enough, you head off to your brothers for a few.  While your gone, she chats with someone, a friend, on her laptop, and she gets info from him that maybe the hard drive just came loose inside, or a cord, and that is easy to check and can do yourself.

When you return, she mentions this, but your still so ticked you don’t wanna believe it can be something that easy.  So you may a snide comment that it wont work, but she says what will hurt to try, so finally you do.  The computer was given to you, so its a bid old, you open it up to find tons of dust inside, and things all over, some things plugged in, some not.  You are not sure what should or should not be plugged in, and do not want to mess it up any more then what is, so you just dust it out a bit.

She tells you to at least check the things that are plugged in and push in a bit more to make sure tight, you kinda sigh, but you do it.  Then you put the side back on, and you take it over and start connection all the other stuff back on it.  Your fretting and fussing, and snorting as your telling yourself it will not work.

You turn it on, you wait a moment, and at least the front screen that says Dell comes on, and your like, OK, that did not do that before, so you wait, it goes slow, real slow, you make a comment about who knows if will work.  But then as it takes its time, it comes up, and then it finally goes to the desktop screen, and you are a bit weary to give it a try, but you finally lick on the net key.  There it goes, off and running, it seems to be working again.

She did not want to say told you so, as she knows how bad a day you had.  But was thankful that at least it was working and the baby was sleeping, as he woke a few later, he seemed in a good mood,  so it seems that maybe things are starting to get a pinch better.

Later you will be heading off to your night shift at work, and we all hope that the day goes well.  Think will be good for you to get away for a few hours, mind on something else, smile and think of something good, think it was just a really, really, bad day.  Wake in the morning, fresh and new, and hope that tomorrow will not be as blue…

Working alternative shifts to take care of the babies is never much fun. Tough on families, tough on the babies. It works, but some days are just like this one.

Don’t think that a day is bad, think: every day is good!
