Law of Attraction: Beat the Recession
The past year has been a ride, such as I never knew existed, from Woe to Go! If you have seen the movie, or read the book, you’re halfway there – all you need to do is Believe…
If you have seen the movie, or read the book, you’re halfway there – all you need to do is Believe…
“The Secret”.
The book, the movie, the life.
That was how it started for me – actually, for myself it was only the book, but I soon followed my nose to source more information about the Law of Attraction, and the movie was just a continuation, an assurance that I was on the right track.
I have lived my entire life in the city, not a big city, and only a short drive from the countryside, but I have always had an affinity with nature, a love of the great outdoors, great scenery, and peace and tranquility, the latter being more important than ever in this world of ours today. I dream of living in the country, not too far from city amenities, schools, hospitals and shopping, but just far enough away to have a life free from exhaust fumes, excessive street lights and noise.
Being an avid amatuer astronomer, the draw of a dark sky also holds great appeal. I can see an amazing array of stars from my city home, but the black, pin-point sharp clarity of the night sky from a site devoid of light pollution, is something many city dwellers can only dream of.
I was struggling on Welfare after a marriage failure, I wanted continuity of life for my daughter, so had to find a way to purchase the family home, keeping the shock of the family split to a minimum and upholding some semblance of normality.
Fortunately, friends who owned a business were looking for someone like myself to fit in with their goals, but unknown at the time, they were running two businesses from the same building – I was asked to run both. Obviously it became a reasonable paying job, and shortly after, I was earning enough to go independent of the Welfare system. Although the full-time hours were stressful to say the least, it enabled me to purchase the mortgage for the family home. Great!
After 18months of solid, stressful work, maintenance on the home and gardens, and trying to give as much time to my daughter, I was suffering from stress and depression. I was on antidepressants; I had suffered from a kidney stone, an abdominal hernia, and was then diagnosed with a stomach ulcer. Due to having no time or energy, my dream of becoming a published writer was on hold, and I was flailing – I needed to focus, and I desperately needed guidance.
