Lie or Not to Lie

How to figure if it is best to tell the truth or lie.

“Mom I……”. Think before you answer, should you say. “Mom I did it I am sorry.” or “Mom I swear, I did not do it.” Stick with me and I will show you when it is best to lie, or the the truth in 5 easy steps.

Step 1.

Can you lie?!?!

Of all the steps below this is by far the most important thing you can think of. The way you react to who you are talking to if your scared of them or if you could careless about them. Can you keep a straight face, can you look innocent, are you known as fiber? Can you look a person in the eye’s, are you willing to accept the fate of being branded a lier? I can not stress the importance of this enough! You have to be a good lier or be lying to an idiot to get away clean. If you do not wish to go through the process of lying, just tell the truth.

Step 2.

Are you guilty or not…

You have to think to your self if you had anything to do with it, what so ever. This is the second step to see if it is possible to lie. Say that you threw the baseball through a window. You would have a lot better chance to tell the truth then to lie. Or if some one else threw it, then tell the truth unless it is a fateful friend.

Step 3.

Witnesses…

Did any one see you do whatever you did. The person who saw you matters entirely on the whether to lie or come forward. Because if you are caught lying you are in more trouble than if you told the truth. If you tell the truth you will be pitied and be off the hook perhaps with a few minor punishments. If it was your teacher or a person you did not know it is better to come forward. But if it was your best friend or a classmate who does not hate you, lie and it is almost guaranteed you will get away clean.

Step 4.

To whom are you lying to…

If you had lied to some one before, odds are that lying is not going to work. If you are lying to a little child who has no idea what a lie is besides that it is bad then go ahead. Bad to lie to: Smart Teachers, Smart Parents and random strangers. The reason I said random strangers is because you are out of your comfort zone talking to someone you don’t know. To lie to a stranger is not for the faint hearted. Good to lie to: Little kids, unsuspecting parents and teachers. To lie to these people is a piece of cake, be sure to have a back up plan though.

Step 5.

Accident or Deliberate….

You have to weigh out the consequence with the thing you did. If you broke something on purpose, it is better to lie and hope for the best. If it was done on accident tell the truth. (View Step 4 to confirm)

To avoid all these step stay out of TROUBLE!

(Which is impossible)
