Live Well, Love Much and Laugh Often
Specific ways to engage oneself and the limitless “Mind”.
We have One LIFE which needs to be lived fully, happily and compassionately.
We are always presented with a choice. One can choose to be miserable at one moment or be happy. When we are going through tough times and are feeling lonely, unhappy, disappointed and depressed, there are certain specific key treats that we can do to ourselves to survive the challenges and cheer us.
- Cook something that you relish: It always nice to explore and make some thing from scratch like PBJ sandwich or making a pizza with fun toppings such as banana, baking cake or making pasta with unique organic vegetables and meat.
- Watch your favorite comedy movies back to back. I suggest watching comedy movies, as watching serious movies will not make you laugh. One feels very light watching humorous movies helping you to divert the negative emotions and feelings experienced.
- Listen to Music- Be it rock and roll, world music, reggae or pop. Listen to music that inspires you and brings you back to life. Sing loudly and imagine you are the rock star of your own life!
- Write and Pen your past successful achievements and accomplishments however small or big they may be. This can help you to understand how you have overcome past challenges and induce positive thoughts in you.
- Join a fun dance exercise class such as belly dancing, hip -hop, or zumba. This way you get to meet people, reduce those calories, network and find what strategies they employ for getting back into the workforce and how they may be beating stress in their lives.
- Volunteer: Volunteer at the local community agency or a non profit. When you help someone, you are helping yourself to have the drive and zest to appreciate life from a different perspective.
- Sweeten your self talk: Get into the habit of practicing positive self talk whenever you have few moments alone. Remind yourself and ask yourself: What compliment would you give yourself. Your feelings about yourself make you become more positive confidence is boosted and your self acceptance grows.
- Do some fun window shopping: observe yourself and others around you. This will help you to gain an idea of kinds of people and their buying behavior patterns.
- Smell the roses, observe the birds and make Nature your friend! This can be therapeutic for you and mainly your five important senses.
- Learn to Love Yourself: Get Comfortable with Yourself. Your company can determine if you can make friends or not. Looking for approval from near and dear ones is short-lived, so accept yourself by recognizing and building on your strengths.
So it is truly up to US to live every moment presented to us with a choice and embrace life and its interesting ways. Some one rightly said: “There is no way to Happiness- Happiness is the way.”
