Living with Love
Three things we can do to live with more childlike innocence and find love in the world. With practice and patience these steps can bring us into greater harmony and advance our world.
The world is a place of great love. It is filled with warmth and joy when we allow ourselves to experience it to our full ability. Harnessing this natural ability is within the reach of every person.
A mother feels the great love of the world in the eyes and smile of her child. A reciprocal connection of such warmth that it has inspired the works of a world of poets. That love is not exclusive to the world of maternal blessing. By opening our heart to the world with innocence forefront we can each feel this same type of attachment to all around us.
It is the ability to be open as a child that gives us joy in all things. To preserve the wonder of experience and people is the key to lasting happiness. We certainly cannot abandon the responsibility of being an adult, after all, without the contribution of all people our world would quickly fall apart. However, it is our distance from the unfettered interest and innocence that has made the world a cynical and fearful place. With effort we can recapture a more natural and divine way of living.
To accomplish this takes only a few simple steps, but they are steps that must be applied consistently.
First, we must accept that we can always do or be better. The place we sit at is not where we should be content to be. By keeping the drive to be better we can accomplish all things. We must also accept that we are becoming better to more easily live with all things in a more positive way, not because we were any less good or worse before; only that we can always be more joyful and loving.
Second, we must focus on the positive in people and events. Too often we focus on why people make us angry or frustrated and how they can be better for us. Instead we need to focus on how they are good and work to give them every possibility to express these positive aspects. Being experienced in a positive way will also encourage everyone we interact with to be a more positive person because we give value to them as a person. A more difficult job is to see the positive in events.
While many events are positive, the tragedies in life are hard to see as good. To give an example, a child having cancer of any kind is a terrible thing. It may teach a child endurance and sacrifice, but these are things that are better learned any other way. What we can see as the positive is our ability to pull others together to comfort that child and make either the duration of their life or trials through recovery a positive time. We can also see the benefits even the pain of a child can bring to the world of science so that in this way other in the future will be able to avoid such pain.
Third is the need to concentrate on growth and renewal. Our routines do not have to be only a progression of steps we have to go through. We can do work, or do work with love. By caring about each thing we do in a day all things we lay our hands upon will become better. Every job is in the service to others, and by concentrating on doing each task as an act of giving we can have a positive impact in every moment we work. Through this we can find renewing energy and grow as loving people.
These three simple steps when done each day can help us experience love and life in a new and amazing way. At the same time we must remain vigilant and control our actions. Also, an important aspect is that this is personal growth. If asked about happiness we can feel free to give advice and offer help. However, pushing even happiness and love on others can be unwelcome and only push others away. Instead by serving as an example of love and happiness you inspire others to follow in their own time.
