Make ‘Em Laugh, Make ‘Em Laugh!, Make ‘Em Laugh!

Like a song from “Singing in the Rain”, there is no nobler deed than to cause laughter. The study of humor and laughter, and its psychological and physiological effects on the human body, is called “gelotology.” It is part of human behavior and aids them in situations of emotional context in conversation and social interactions.

This cheese is popular in the Middle East because neither rennet nor pepsin is used, which being animal by-product, is against their religion under Muslim standards. The animal is slaughtered to get this material. Both rennet and pepsin are enzyme-containing substances produced in any mammalian stomach to digest the mother’s milk. They are both coagulants, used to create a ‘stiffer’ cheese curd or firmer consistency in the finished product. In the cheese-making industry there are ‘rennet-like’ alternatives derived from either fungal or bacterial sources that are used at certain times of the year to accommodate targeted consumer’s needs such as Kosher for Passover where this ‘firming agent’ is required for the best consistency of the product.

These guys always seem to have some sort of a smirk upon their jaw. It is as if they are remembering that hu-mon they snuck up upon while sunning itself upon a towel on the beach, and ate “…it had no claws, weak teeth, almost no hair and it was all pink meat! –Send more, -the last ones were delicious!”

Dolphins and porpoises, -same thing with the perpetual smirk. Except, they are cuter and nicer.-Taste better with mayonnaise on toasted white bread.

Evil Cat

This evil-looking cat looks a bit like ‘The Joker’ from that “The Batman” cartoon series from the 70s. OMG this looks scary. –If he could only hold that pose… he’d be ‘The Joker.’

Concealed Laughter

I remember classic George Carlin from his “Class Clown” record from the 1970s, talking about how ‘…concealed laughter is the easiest to get the most fun out of,  when you are not supposed to be laughing.

“-You know, like when you’re kneeling in front of a casket… (snicker-snicker!)”

Flower of Funny

With the ability to bring joy and happiness, even this flower seems to be laughing! The more you look at it, the funnier it becomes.

Circuit Board Comedy?

Humor in the geek sector, ‘Laughing Squid.” I like their logo! There are many “Laughing Squid” references on the Internet ranging from a web-hosting company to private usernames to graffiti artists. This one refers to a specific group although I don’t quite have enough knowledge yet of what they do. I suspect that we will be hearing and seeing more of them in the future though! But do they make motherboards for computers I wonder? And if they, -can I get one please?

Laughing Kookaburra

Damn these guys are bigger than I thought! I reckoned that they were like North American Kingfishers, but with much larger beaks. A bird like this I’d be afraid that it would go for my eyes or something!

Smile of a Child

Aww! Could there be anything sweeter than the grin of a child?

The reason sitcoms tend not to have laughter breaking out on the streets is due to the fact that people tend to re-enact what makes them UNCOMFORTABLE AND FEARFUL in order to control their FEAR LEVEL which has been induced by what they see and hear on TV and radio etc.

There is no need to re-enact the COMEDY and FUN that we see and hear because we’re COMFORTABLE with that, it’s non-threatening, it’s simple and we don’t really have to UNDERSTAND it. Whereas the scary stuff leaves us with the need to UNDERSTAND WHY – hence the acting out on the streets, in schools, at home etc.
