Money and Happiness

Many people believe that if they could just pay off this bill or get out of debt that they would be happy. Some believe that if they just had this or that they would be happy. We need to be very careful when we make the connection between money and happiness.

Money is not the search for happiness. Happiness is the by-product of living right with your money. When searching for happiness, begin doing the right things in your life and with your money, happiness will be your reward. Many of us start out seeking ways to earn more money with the hopes that it will lead us to our own happy place. I am guilty of taking this path myself and this belief is very misleading.

I have learned that to find your happy place in life you need to start by taking the little money that you have and invest that money into helping others. This is what has worked for me in my life when trying to make the connection between money and happiness.

During the process of helping another you will begin to see new opportunities opening up for you in your life. These new opportunities will change the direction in which you may be going. When this happens it is very good and you will need to follow the new path. You will then find yourself in a position to help more and more people. The more people you help the happier you become, the happier you become the more opportunities you will have. This happens because your eyes see differently and your focus changes. As long as you keep doing the right things in life, as long as you are living right, you will find money and your reward will be happiness.
