Never Give Up on Your Dreams

Never give up on dreams and how to pursue them.

It’s very important to take advantage of every opportunity presented to you when pursuing a dream.

“Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.” Thomas Edison hit the nail on the head with that statement. Success is not a destination, but a journey. You are never going to get anywhere with your dreams if you don’t take into consideration the journey may be long and involve countess hours of hard work. Edison, a renowned inventor, never let hard work get in the way of pursuing his dreams. He looked at every attempt as a success. In fact, the word failure was not in his vocabulary. He even went so far as to say: “If I find 10,000 ways something won’t work, I haven’t failed. I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward.” This ideology is so true. You should look at failure as a learning experience, not an experience that is going to push you away from pursuing your dream.

Never give up…

When you find your dream, it is very important to never give up or let your grasp slip from fulfilling your dream. You must be determined to get where you want. Often times, people have many great dreams but let their lives pass by without acting upon them. It is a must that you believe in yourself and have faith in order to accomplish your dream and turn it into reality. Remember that old saying, “Rome was not built in a day”? This is very true. Realize that your dream will not occur over night. But don’t be deterred by that, instead push forward and think positive.

If your dream seems out of reach at first sight, try breaking it down into smaller goals. Realistically, dreams are difficult to achieve with the demands of every day life. Taking small steps in order to turn your dream into a reality is the best, and often times only way to pursue it. Realize your potential, and decide how much time and effort you are willing to devote to your dream. Try organizing your thoughts in such a way that you begin to

I’ve always been scared to take chances. Someone told me, you cant win the lottery without buying a ticket. And you know im going to buy my ticket, YOu gave me that little bit of confidence to just keep going.

But what do you do when your family, friends and husband are holding you back? Do you leave them all in the dust to fulfill your dreams or do you bottle them up and hope they do not haunt you EVERY day for the rest of your life in order to keep a happy marriage and family?

Ok. I had many dreams lost. My dream was to become a director and I was offered the position of regional director of one conglomerate at the age of 30. I made a wrong decision and lost it on the final hurdle. My mind got stuck there and I couldnt look in the future. All I did was ponder on the dream that I lost. A bigger dream came when I was around 35 years old. To be president of another conglomerate. I lost it due to lack of faith. Others came and went. Im in the dessert and I keep seeing one lake after another. I walk to each one in the heatwave and I bend down to quench my thirst only to find that it is a mirage. I walk for hundreds of miles for the next one. Again its a mirage. Every company is a ship sailing to the afterlife. Every director is the ships captain. I have jumped over board a number of times and swam on a dingy for years. A bigger dream/ship came with the highest position. Due to lack of faith I stayed on the beach and the ship left. Now im alone, stranded on an island. All the people around me are now negative. Experience tells me that to overcome and reach your dream you have to surpass all the negativity around you. You have to be the only positive one. You have to believe and rise above the rest. I want the last dream that I lost. But I cannot have it immediately. I have to start with the basics. Dine in a restaurant, buy a car, rent an apartment and be able to have sex. That is step 1. The big dream will come but it will take time and a lot of determination. So, rise above the rest is my moto and someday I will be a leader. I have had hard training to gain a position of leadership. I paid my dues to make it, only i didnt make it. The moto is to stay positive no matter what comes in the pipeline. Start from the bottom and rise to the top. How I do it, Im not sure. A ship has to sail to the island and pick me up. Or I can try and find one from the beach that is due to leave anytime sooner. Im lost and alone. Its just me, myself and I. Nobody is here. I have to get ready.
