Open Your Eyes

A perception of love, happiness, and acceptance.

It seems we, as human beings, always look too hard for something when it’s right in front of our eyes. We look for love, happiness, and acceptance.

We tend to get stuck in friendships and relationships that are unhealthy for security purposes. We become too scared to let that person go, because we feel that without them, we’ll be alone in the world.

We don’t trust the idea of anything new, because we are genuinely afraid of change.

We bypass those who are in our lives for a positive purpose, because we are too blinded by the negative.

We get too caught up in having an abundance of people around that we get trapped, having to make decisions of, “Who’s going to make me the happiest?” or “Which one really makes me feel alive?” Sometimes, it may even be a choice of lustful desire that leads to numerous side effects.

If we could notice that everything we ever hope to receive in our personal lives starts within ourselves. If we never learn to love, accept, & be happy with ourselves, then we will never be able to find true love, acceptance, & happiness from others.

Change is hard, merely, because we are a stubborn species. But change is definitely not impossible.

If we could only see that continuously stumbling over our past is only going to keep us held there, we will be enabled to stand up, & make a stone less path towards our future.

Regrets keep us held down, stuck like quicksand. We always think, “What if…?” or “I should’ve…”

{shoulda, coulda, woulda…u didn’t, so give it up & move on}

*Life is sometimes too short for us to not live for the moments we have now; To learn from every mistake we ever made; To grow with the knowledge that becomes instilled in us with each passing second; To find what it truly means to be self-loving, self-accepting, & [genuinely happy].*

    I agree that if we spend all our time and efforts on the ghosts of the past, we become ghosts. Good article.
