Perception
When looking at the same thing brings different perspectives.
Perception, that curious viewpoint into the mind…I guess it’s what you call your own personal reality. What‘s your reality? Hypothetically let me share two separate takes on the same scenario. First visualize I’m in a room and the temperature is 78 degrees, I’m hot and clammy, my skin is sweaty. Slow shallow, and labored breathing, and my nipples cling to my clothing. I begin to wipe the sweat off of me. Miserable day you may think. Now here is scenario number two; my moist skin glistens as I slowly trace the outline of the sweat on my neck. My fingers gentle travels down between the crevice of my breast, as my hands lay there unable to move, while I breathe slow and deeply. My nipples cutely poke thru the silk of my blouse. A covering of heat intensified the sultry 78 degree room temperature. How sensuous is that picture? Let me venture off into another detour into perceptions. I’ve told my significant other that I loved them; Also I would like them to inform me of changes in their movement throughout the day, for safety reasons. I’m overwhelmed with unbridled excitement of our next encounter, while I secretly wish to be able, to bring them sunshine at every moment. How I wish I could pluck a star out of the sky and give it to them. As well as being available to them at a moments notice. This is perception number two; valid as well. My significant other is in love with me. Fact two every time I’m not in their presence, I have to give an itinerary of my movements. Only time they appear happy is when they see everything that I do. They always make their selves available to me when I beckon, but that’s fine. If they love me, then they should. I only want to know where they are if I need something. It’s good to know they are always near. I don’t believe that I’m being selfish, I’m grown why should I have to be accountable? If a person’s in love then what action or road seems more appropriate? “The answer really lies in… your perceptions”.

Perception is very abstract to described. It sometimes can emerge in various form depending on individual’s mind.

Sorry for the typing error. It should be “to describe” not “to described”

A very thought provoking piece. I think the perception you place on takes depends on the kind of person you are.

That was an excellent presentation. The begining of the article had me wanting to read more and really worked well with the second theme of pereception. Sometimes it is not about us but how people see us.Great write.

Yup it’s all in our heads. How we want to see things.

Perception is everything. Reminds me of an old Twilight Zone episode “The Midnight Sun.” A feverish Lois Nettleton thinks she’s burning up because the sun has been growing closer. At the end we see it’s the opposite – the sun is moving away and a new ice age has begun…

Perception is truly a interesting topic. Sometimes the wrong perception gives you the courage to step out of your comfort zone, and other views can get you slapped in the face for alluding to something that’s not actually the case. Where your head is and your perception of things can also be because of cultural upbringing. Either way you look at it…This was very interesting and thought provoking!!!

Perception is also important in war.. who the good guy is, who the bad guy is, who the right side is, who the wrong side is, who is evil, who is good.. it all depends on our perception.
but your example was more steamy.

T…You have painted some rather sensual pictures here and at the same time pointed out would could be “perceived” as a double standard. Significant others want you to be able to substantiate where you are, what your are doing, etc., but when you ask for thec=same consideration it appears as if there might be some reluctance on their part. Quite the contrast!!! Thanks.
