Perfection: Something You Will Never Have

Ford (Henry Ford time) – Never made a very fast car with good MPG…
Microsoft – After 25 years the operating system still cannot work a week without crashing. The index does not work like it should. You still see too many incompatibilities with too many programs. You cannot have an operating system fast enough for you. After all these years Microsoft still cannot make a good browser.
Firefox – After 5 years the browser is still almost the same. Maybe it changed a thing or two but the basics are still there. If you download the version one from an oldware website you can see no difference (almost).
Google – After ten years you can still see some duplicated results in the top ten, you still cannot have a full automatic Adwords campaign, you still cannot have a search engine that gives you what you want. After all this time Google still cannot update it’s index as fast and precise like it should. About one year ago I deleted a website from the internet and Google still shows the results for that site… Think twice before you blindly trust Google power. Give Yahoo a shot. In site indexing and precision is much better. Trust me.
Live Search - “We will catch up Google in just five years” (Said one year ago by Steve Ballmer). Live search still cannot see the difference between MP3 lyrics and MP3 music and other terrible mistakes. The index is too small, the results too inaccurate. Not even in 500 years it will catch up with Google. That’s my bet.
Government – We still have more debts, lower salaries, less security… Too many bad things to be told here…
You - Too far away from being a perfect person.
Computers – Even being the fastest machines improving you can’t still have them fast enough even for basic internet surfing. You still need to wait more than ten seconds even for basic pages. Most hardware fails before one year. They are still not good enough…
Cars – They still use petrol, they still make noise, they still kill people.
But even with all these terrible mistakes they keep on moving. They keep on becoming a better person/company/product and so on. They never quit and they do not wait for tomorrow. They prefer to try to fix that now.
You should do the same. Why don’t you propose for that dream job NOW? Why don’t you call the owner of that dream house NOW? Why don’t you get some courage and propose to that girl NOW? Why don’t you want to start your own business NOW? Why don’t you want to become a millionaire NOW?
