Seven Ways to Live Longer

Long life and good health is something we all want. Many of us just don’t know how to achieve it. Well here are 7 simple ways to live longer and healthier.
- Eat apples and pears. Studies have shown that these fruits are loaded with flavonoids which may lower your risk of cardiovascular disease.
- Get enough sleep. Fewer then 6 hours of sleep may put you at risk for for heart disease. On the other other side of the coin, more then 9 hours of sleep each night may cause you to be more susceptible to other diseases such as cancer.
- Moderate exercise. This is a no brainer. Get up and move. It is good for you heart and respiratory system along with every other part of your body.
- Look on the bright side. Studies at the Mayo clinic show that optimists live on the average of about 2 years longer then pessimists.
- Worship regularly. A University of Texas study found that those who attended church on a regular basis live about 7 years longer then those who didn’t.
- Be generous. According to the University of Michigan, People who give both emotional and tangible support to others add years to their lives.
- Keep in touch with friends and family. This is good for your emotional health which is very connected to your physical health.
