Seven Ways to Live Longer

Increasing your life span can be as simple as eating an apple.

Long life and good health is something we all want. Many of us just don’t know how to achieve it. Well   here are 7 simple ways to live longer and healthier.

  1. Eat apples and pears. Studies have shown that these fruits are loaded with flavonoids  which may lower your risk of cardiovascular disease.
  2. Get enough sleep. Fewer then 6 hours of sleep may put you at risk for for heart disease. On the other other side of the coin, more then 9 hours of sleep each night may cause you to be more susceptible  to other diseases such as cancer.
  3. Moderate exercise. This is a no brainer. Get up and move. It is good for you heart and respiratory system along with every other part of your body.
  4. Look on the bright side. Studies at the Mayo clinic show that optimists live on the average of about 2 years longer then pessimists.
  5. Worship regularly. A University of Texas study found that those who attended church on a regular basis live about 7 years longer then those who didn’t.
  6. Be generous. According to the University of Michigan, People who give both emotional and tangible support to others add years to their lives.
  7. Keep in touch with friends and family. This is good for your emotional health which is very connected to your physical health.
