Researchers from the University of Oxford, England, revealed that being a vegetarian can significantly reduce the risk of cataracts. According to them, eating vegetarian food, like beans and tofu, can maintain a person’s eyesight remained sharp.
As reported by doctorhealthpress.com, the researchers have studied the relationship between diet and risk of cataract in the group that implement the various diets, including those who are vegetarian.
The result, those who eat meat regularly have a higher risk of cataracts. The risk is then followed by those with little to eat meat and those who only eat fish. The study also showed that vegetarians have the lowest risk of cataracts.
If you really like to eat meat, experts do not tell you to change your diet drastically. But they suggest, someone reducing meat consumption with age. Better to add the consumption of nuts or other protein sources. Because, this is not only good for the senses of sight, but also good for heart health and body disgestif system.
The experts also suggested, eat vegetarian meals three or four times a week for the good of your physical and emotional.
