Stress: A Good Thing But Must be Unleashed
Stress is a good thing for your body. It will give you the extra energy you need to work and to solve all your problems but too much of it and accumulated stress can kill you.
Stress is probably the most important psychological pain you are feeling today. Everyone is stressed and everyone is always complaining about stress.
Stress is good for you, in fact is one of the things that will make you progress and improve, something that you would never do by yourself if you just kept on working with your pace.
The first thing you need to know about stress is it’s a defence mechanism our body has to defend ourselves against danger. When you face a problem you will get stress to help you manage it.
The problem is that this is very primitive. In the past the response would be violence, today you need intellectual violence to win the problem. But even after winning against the problem you still feel stressed because you did not unleash physical energy.
Year after year filling up the stress baggage will do harm to your heart, lungs, brain, blood pressure and so much more.
You need to unleash all the stress you can not with violence but with intense exercise or physical effort like fights and working manually on your house for example.
Do something that is somewhat dangerous, something that makes you feel alive! Do something that you are terribly scared of, do something that you do not know if you are going to wake up the next morning!
You need to unleash all your fury you got from your work.
Playing computer games is another way to unleash that energy. Games like Counter Strike are great because you need to unleash fury on the enemy to win the game.
