Sue Yourself
How come people think they can sue fast food corporations for their own poor choices?
Where is the responsibility? People think they can sue fast food providers because they are obese. Well, no one made them buy that fast food. How could they have the audacity to imply that the fast food people did them wrong? Shouldn’t these people be responsible for their own diets?
See, I have a friend who is about 400 plus pounds. She is always saying that fast food is no good for her and yet she continues to eat it. Every time she calls me on her cell phone, She never fails to make it to a fast food drive- thru. I dare say she spends on average $100.00 a month on fast food. I try to encourage her to eat healthier but she always gives me the same song and dance about the next time… The sad part is that she passed on this poor eating style to her son. He is a large young man for his age. You would hope that his mother would give him a better chance than she gives herself. My friend is a well-educated person and yet she is deficient when it comes to a healthy diet.
My friend has never blamed or hinted at suing any fast food corporation for her obesity. She is well aware that she is responsible for culinary downfall. It is up to her to drive past those fast food restaurants. She must realize that in order to be healthier she must change her diet and exercise. A bag lunch containing a sandwich made of whole wheat bread, a piece of fruit, sliced carrots, and a bottled water is tasty and satisfying. A good walk after lunch will help burn the calories and build up energy. It’s all up to her to eat the right way and save her life.
Now for all of you other obese people, who continue to frequent fast food restaurants, take responsibility. Sue yourselves for continuing to place yourselves in harms way. Don’t just blame the King, KFC, and McDonald. What about those other fast food joints you frequent? What about suing that pizza or Asian guy, willing to deliver your heart attack and hypertension in a bag? Oh, you can’t sue them because they wouldn’t come if you didn’t call. Just like you don’t have to go into a fast food establishment because you’re invited in.
Look, you like the convenience of ordering a prepared meal. If you want to dictate how its prepared then use that appliance called a stove and make your own meal. You’re lying when you state that you want to eat healthy. How much yogurt did you buy the last time? Remember, the coffee is supposed to be hot, fries are fattening, and the meat is processed. The chicken is free to range in your gut. They stopped using milk in the shakes a long time ago. Order at your own risk! Case dismissed.
