The Essence of Living Life
Shedding light on what really makes life worth living and interesting.
Life has never ceased to surprise with it’s unpredictable ways. People couldn’t help asking what really makes life worth interesting and living. The answer to this varies from person to person depending on one’s experience through life. No absolute answer could be given yet every answer is given credit for being right.
Well, life is made interesting by those people who come along the way and would eventually be touched by your life or the other way around. These people however are not easy to find. Meeting a stranger along the way is not always an opportunity to make life interesting. Sometimes you meet the greatest debacle of your life by knowing strangers. Yet you couldn’t attribute all catastrophes to strangers because there are strangers who have played a vital role in your life.
The point here is not about being an acquaintance, being a stranger or being familiar. Meeting these important people gives you the chance to have a good look at life and try to modify your perspectives on how to live it. You get to have an idea of what should be changed and modified with the present life you are living. These people are not always the good Samaritan, the experienced, the religious, or the popular. They just come. Sometimes you get surprised your nemesis gets to touch your life. It’s true. You can expect the least expected people to change your life or to make it interesting.
Most think that being successful in work and having a healthy family or social life are the best ways to live life. Yet, there is something sweeter than this. It’s getting to know new faces and being part of their lives not because you have lived the near perfect life but because you have taught them a lesson or two about life and you get to inspire them. It’s in this essence that life is lived to the fullest because it is ought to be shared.
How many people have become successful because of those, not necessarily immediate family members, who have touched their lives. How do you think these people feel having realized that they have served as inspiration to these people whom they do not personally know? How would a teacher feel having inspired his/her students to work harder and live a better life after minutes of conversation?
Truly the answer to these questions prove that touching other people’s lives is what makes life worth living and interesting. Especially that you know good deeds multiply.

The definition of the word “success” varies from person to person and we who follow our path to success will someday be successful. Lets just not hope that time will come when we change our definition of success and realize we failed all along.
