The Ghost Writer
An account of how one young man thinks that life is a privilege. Life should be lived with a purpose. The least we can do is make it worthwhile.
Writing has always been a part of history before time began. It is known as a form of expression towards ones ideas, beliefs, or recent actions. It has been a gateway for those who wish to hear about things happening around this big rock we call, “earth”. This planet is inhabited by all kinds of creatures we call humans. We would like to think of ourselves as superior beings, or rulers of all life that exist today. But is that really true?
Some would like to believe so, as for myself, I would like to think that I have some kind of potential in becoming more than a pawn in a game of chess that we call life. This article may already come across to some as a babbling idiot ranting on about how people feel about themselves but in reality this is an account of one young man’s opinion on how life is looked upon as a privilege. One that people sometimes take for granted.
Answer this, what does life mean to you? Think about this question anyway you would like and take a serious second out of your life to think about what your answer is to this question. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “I submit to you that if a man hasn’t discovered something he will die for, he isn’t fit to live.” Now think about this for a second… do you know what you are willing to die for in life? Once life has been granted upon you it is your sole duty to make sure that something comes out of all that you do, and after you accomplish that goal then people years later should remember everything you did to get there and want to do the same thing or strive to do better.
Life is not all about whose best at what. It’s not always about how much money you’re going to make in life, or how much you want to be famous, or what car you drive. Life is about making decisions and if the wrong one is made it is your responsibility as a human being to stand beside that decision and take action to make the next decision even better than the last. Results are what you should be looking for, and nothing less than 100% success should be accepted when doing so.
Now I’m not the most perfect person in the world and I don’t always do what I should but I try and I do it to the best of my ability. Some may think that is not right because I would be considered a hypocrite to tell others to do something with their entire god given power and I myself not do the same, but I’m not looking nor am I paying attention to criticism. Although I must always be open to criticism does not mean I must accept or follow it.
Now how people choose to live their own lives is up to them. I am not here to lecture and I’m not here to preach, but I am here to voice my opinion and it is my constitutional right to do so, and I would like to think of it as my American responsibility to do so. Life style is a choice, not a standard of measure or requirement to live by, but it is one of the many privileges bestowed unto the human race and it should not be taken for granted by anyone.
This is only an expression. An idea of one writer, who feels the need to express himself through the powers of writing. Actions speak louder than words my fellow people. And freedom of speech is a privilege bestowed only unto a few. America was created for people to express themselves, and to escape those who are against that freedom. We are factors of importance and it is time for us to begin living up to that expectation and live our lives the way they should be lived. With appropriate decision making on important events in our lives, because all we have in this world is our lives and nothing more.
When we die, we cannot take our possessions with us, we can only leave behind our legacy on the world in hopes that our decisions are the ones that we want our predecessors to follow. I am part of the generation of change. I am an influence on my fellow man. I am… a ghost writer.

I enjoyed this. As a ghostwriter, I can certainly relate to much of what you’ve written.
