They called me a couple of days later and informed me they were hiring “in-house” but they were willing to open the position up to outside of the company for five minutes just to give me enough time to apply. I did what I had to and then responded back to the human resources department that I was done with the application process so they could close it back up again. She then informed me they would be reviewing it and I would hear back from them soon. About a week passed when I received a call from one of the hiring managers for a phone interview. We scheduled the day, had the interview and then I waited. A month passed and I hadn’t heard anything back from the hiring manager so I decided to call in and check. She said they were still in the negotiations and it was a matter of politics. I thanked her for her time and she said she would get back to me hopefully within two weeks. Another month passed. By then I had given up all hope. I wasn’t even sure any more whether or not I wanted to work from home. I thought I might get bored and lonely and decided to just put the whole thing behind me. I figured by then they must have hired someone. About a week later I received a call from the hiring manager telling me she had been out on vacation and had to still meet with her superiors and I would hear back from her. I had hopes again although by then I really didn’t care anymore whether or not I got the position. She called a week later to offer me the job of which I happily accepted.

So, here I am, working from home for a major company. I’m making more money than I was at my previous job, I choose my own hours and I work for an office that isn’t even in my home state. I never have to go into the office. Am I bored? No, I have plenty to do. I get lonely sometimes but the benefits far out way the negatives. I unknowingly put my thought and my desire out into the universe and gave it more fuel by thinking and talking about it some more and my request was answered. I didn’t even know I was requesting anything and didn’t even have to do much to get it. I didn’t have to make any phone calls or do anything to get the ball rolling. I was just sort of desiring and talking and the universe made sure I was at the right place at the right time. I guess that’s how it all works.
